About - History

Founded in 2022 in Strasbourg (France), the French start-up Pearl BioSystem already has a rich history.

Key milestones

2018 - Idea to create an industrial process around chemical liquid pearls

2019 - Constitution of a strong Scientific Advisory Board.

2020 - Establishment of the new strategy, based on dedicated assays (market positioning: 3D Organoid Drug Discovery Services).

Jauary 2020 - Christian D. Muller, researcher and scientist with 40 years of experience, creates Pearl BioSystem, a start-up specialized in anti cancer compound testing

February 2020 - Rémi Serrano joins Pearl BioSystem as CEO to support the growth of the company with his commercial and financial skills.

June 2020 - Jean-Marc Bélouard (Dolphin Partnership SASU) joined to advise the company on setting-up Sales & Marketing strategy.

June 2021 - United BioChannels Inc (USA) was contracted to do a strong marketing assessment to approach the market with some VOC’s in USA and in Europe to clearly identify the positioning of PBS technology.

September 2021 - Starting of the PBS patent declared in INPI.

March 2022 - Legal creation of Pearl BioSystem SAS in Strasbourg (Office - Lab Facilities).

July 2022 - PBioS is expanding its presence in Europe by recruiting Will Garcia as the Head of Business Development for Europe, UK, Israel, and South Africa.

August 2022 - PBioS is expanding its presence in APAC by recruiting Ramakrishna Machiraju, as our Director Business Development, APAC.

March 2023 - PBioS is presenting its in Perlo technology to In Cosmetics in Barcelona.

August 2023 - PBioS closed first PO on 12 Molecules in Cosmetics - 4 were identified as anti-cancer on melanocytes with its In Perlo technology

September 2023 - PBioS acquired a robot to validate the automation of its In Perlo technology.

January 2024 - PBioS is reorganizing Europe by recruiting Claire Bottero, as our Head of Business Developement Mainland Europe, UK, Israel, South America.

January 2024 - PBioS is expanding its presence in North America and Canada by recruiting Martha Miles as VP of NA.
